About us
Para Sports Association of Gujarat
The state's official body for promoting, developing and organising sport for athletes with disabilities, functioning as the Gujarat Chapter of the Paralympic Committee of India.
Who we are
Built to serve athletes with disabilities, wherever in Gujarat they live
The Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) is the National Paralympic Committee for India, affiliated to the International Paralympic Committee and the Asian Paralympic Committee, and recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as a National Sports Federation. PCI works through 26 state associations, six national sports federations and eight individual para sports federations.
In Gujarat that mandate rests with the Para Sports Association of Gujarat, the PCI-affiliated state unit presented on this site as the PCI Gujarat Chapter. Under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Eluri Sreedhar, the Chapter is being organised around athlete services, classification, competitions, coaching and partnerships, with district coordinators to make sure no athlete is out of reach.
Gujarat already punches above its weight. The state finished third in the country at the 24th National Para Athletics Championships in March 2026, has produced Paralympians and Asian Para Games medallists, and will soon host one of India's most advanced Para High Performance Sports Centres in Gandhinagar.
