Glasgow 2026 para medallists felicitated by Union Minister B.L. Verma; Gujarat invited to Amdavad 2030
India's Commonwealth Games para medal winners were honoured at the residence of Union Minister of State Shri B.L. Verma. Gujarat Chairman Dr. Eluri Sreedhar attended and received an invitation for the Amdavad 2030 Commonwealth Games.

India's para medallists from the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games were felicitated at a reception hosted by Shri B.L. Verma, Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment and for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, at his residence in New Delhi. Athletes were honoured with bouquets and mementos in the presence of Paralympic Committee of India office bearers and coaches.
Dr. Eluri Sreedhar, Chairman of PCI Gujarat, attended the reception on behalf of Gujarat. The Minister extended an invitation to Dr. Sreedhar for the Amdavad 2030 Commonwealth Games, the Centenary Games that Ahmedabad will host, whose programme includes para athletics, para swimming, para table tennis, para bowls and para powerlifting.
Also present was Mr. Satyanarayana, Chairman of Para Athletics at PCI and chief coach of the Indian para athletics team, along with committee members and the medal-winning athletes.
For Gujarat, a home Commonwealth Games in 2030 is a once-in-a-generation target. The Chapter will align its district camps, state championships and athlete support programmes with the Amdavad 2030 timeline.
