Government of Karnataka felicitates Glasgow 2026 para medal winners and coaches
Karnataka Olympic Association President and MLC Shri K. Govindaraj honoured bronze medallist Shilpa K. Shyla, chief athletics coach Mr. Satyanarayana and coach Ms. Pushpa at a state welcome ceremony.
The Government of Karnataka, with the Karnataka Sports Department, organised a welcome and felicitation ceremony for India's Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games para medal winners, bringing together dignitaries, sports administrators, coaches and athletes.
Karnataka Olympic Association President and Member of the Legislative Council Shri K. Govindaraj honoured Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Shilpa K. Shyla, chief athletics coach Mr. Satyanarayana and athletics coach Ms. Pushpa for their contributions to Indian para sport.
The Paralympic Committee of India thanked the Government of Karnataka and all dignitaries for honouring the athletes and coaches. State-level recognition of this kind is a model the Gujarat Chapter intends to follow for its own medallists.
