PCI and CPSFI sign MoU to jointly bid for the 2029 World Abilitysport Games

The Paralympic Committee of India and the Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of India will jointly pursue India's bid to host the 2029 World Abilitysport Games, with Chennai and Bhubaneswar under consideration.

At the Constitution Club in New Delhi, the Paralympic Committee of India and the Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly pursue India's bid to host the 2029 World Abilitysport Games. Chennai and Bhubaneswar are under consideration as host cities.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Devendra Jhajharia, President, PCI, two-time Paralympic gold medallist and Padma Bhushan awardee; Jayawant Gundu Hamanawar, Secretary General, PCI; Satyanarayana Shimoga, Chairman, Para Athletics, PCI; Kavita Suresh, General Secretary, CPSFI; and Rajesh Tomar, IRS (Retd.), Founder and President, CPSFI.
